Custom jewelry design is just for you, bespoke, special. JC Sipe is in the business of fulfilling the imagination when the assignment is your custom jewelry design. With over 127 years of combined on-site experience, our design team will take you through each step of the creative process, with as much hand holding as you need.
The very first step for a custom ring design is knowing the correct finger size. (Click here for sizing information) Here are the next steps followed for our custom jewelry designs, not just rings. Garnet (our craftsman/designer) hand renders a realistic drawing of our combined vision so we’re sure we get it right. Then he hand carves a wax model. We feel there is something about carving wax by hand with human artistic ability that CAD (computer aided design) cannot duplicate.
Certain designs, such as micro-pave do not lend themselves readily to a hand wax. In that case, we now offer CAD to our stable of custom design services. Broc (our CAD designer) and Garnet collaborate on these designs to get your ideas just the way you desire.
After the wax model is finished and you’ve had a chance to see it, approve it and get excited, it goes to the caster. We use one of the most highly skilled casters in the country so there is no porosity in the finished piece. Many of the finest manufacturers use this group. The quality of the casting facility is very important to the overall quality of the finished piece of jewelry. The raw casting is then meticulously hand finished in our shop.
This is often a very labor intensive step in the process. If you are using your gemstones or diamonds, you can be assured that your gems stay here with us.
We have helped many clients over the years to get engaged, breathe new life into cherished family heirlooms or commemorate any of your special occasions with a special piece of jewelry. If you want something designed just for you, bespoke, let us help. We are confident you will be pleased, as countless others have been for the last 136 years.
